A Touch of Irish in the Mile High

With St. Patrick’s Day being only a few days away, I wanted to share some of my favorite Irish restaurants in Denver. Go grab yourself a green beer and fish n’ chips!

THE ABBEY TAVERN

I just discovered The Abbey Tavern when it was bitterly cold and I wanted an Irish Coffee. This Irish restaurant on East Colfax has a huge patio out front, which I imagine will be packed if it is nice this Sunday. The restaurant had more of a bar feel to it – lights dimmed and soccer playing. Recently I ordered the Irish Coffee and The Abbey Roll which is basically a reuben in an egg roll wrapper. It was delish! Unfortunately, I was so hungry I didn’t capture a photo.

FINLEY’S PUB

Finley’s Pub is in West Wash Park on Pearl Street. Finley’s has a very family friendly vibe to it, which makes a great place to relax and grab happy hour – which they have from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. everyday! Finley’s also has THE BEST hamburger!

THE IRISH ROVER

The Irish Rover is located on South Broadway. This restaurant is a great option when its sunny and warm since they have an awesome roof top patio! The Irish Rover offers a large variety of food along with the traditional Irish eats. They will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. with live music and specials!

THE IRISH SNUG

The Irish Snug is one of the more popular Irish restaurants in Denver. It’s located in Capital Hill and is a fun place to stop in for an Irish Car Bomb. They have a great weekend brunch menu and offer $9.00 bottomless mimosas – winning! They will also be celebrating St. Patrick’s day this weekend with live music starting at 12 p.m..
